The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Quality Manager at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital (please visit http://www.wcgrh.org/ for more information about the hospital).
Job Description
Oversees policy development, modification, implementation and evaluation in an assigned specialty area. Analyzes proposed legislation to determine potential effects on the assigned department or program area(s). Prepares reports and presentations, and works with clients, loan/grant applicants, outside vendors, and management to develop or implement programs in a manner that addresses division/department strategies. Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
- Supervises and plans work of assigned staff
- Coordinates project activities and perform research, evaluation and analysis of operational issues
- Develops economic demographic, business, and sociological forecasts to support development of plans and strategies
- Directs the development of standards and procedures to be used in project development and implementation
- Oversees or participates in policy, procedure, and processes development
- Participates in development of long-term plans, programs, and strategy
- Plans, develops, implements and maintains a system designed to coordinate and provide continuous and systematic evaluations for programs or initiatives
- Serves on development teams, proposes drafts, and/or reviews current policies to recommend changes

Completion of 90 quarter hours (60 sem hrs) at an accredited college or university AND Six years of related experience
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience
OR
Masters degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience
OR
Four years of experience at the lower level or position equivalent
Note: Experience in a related area may substitute for degree on a year by year basis.

Preference will be given to candidates, who in addition to meeting the above qualifications also meet the following:

Quality Management Experience
Clinical Background Preferred

This position is located at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Columbus, Georgia is an authentic Rivertown. The gently rolling waters of the Chattahoochee have provided food, energy, employment, and recreation for the citizens of Columbus throughout the years. Today, the river is home to the 12-mile path known as the Chattahoochee Riverwalk. The Riverwalk provides an excellent facility to bike, in-line skate, jog, or just take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the scenery. The river is also home to the Chattahoochee Princess Riverboat, an authentic 1880's era paddlewheel riverboat, and the Coca-Cola Space Science Center, the first in Georgia and one of only 32 in the United States.
