The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Nurse Mentor at East Central Regional Hospital, located in Augusta, GA.
- Conduct weekly audits in nursing, physician assessments
- Conduct quarterly MOCK Surveys to ensure facility wide readiness for external surveys (i.e. CRIPA auditors, Joint Commission, CMS, etc)
- Perform follow-up on Corrective Action Plans associated with CRIPA related policies
- Serve as a member of the Hospital Function Group, Infection Control and Performing Function Group providing vital information to the groups regarding Patient Care trends
- Attend monthly Quality Management meetings to report findings for both campuses
- Monitor the effects on the consumers (related to restraints, change in behavior, etc) based on Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) process
- Create effective monitoring tool as needed
Associate degree in a related field and five years experience with at least two years in a position directly related to the area of assignment
Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience
Master's degree in a related field and two years of related experience
Two years experience at the lower level or a position equivalent (RCP061)

Preference will be given to those who, in addition to meeting the above qualifications, also possess the following:
- Masters degree in health planning, health administration, public administration, business administration, finance or related field
