Forensic Unit #5 (7:00a-3:30p)

Job Description:

Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills May take vital signs Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards: 1. Answers clients call signals 2. Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse 3. Bathes, grooms, shaves and dresses clients 4. Conducts activities for recreation and socialization 5. Ensures safety and security of clients 6. Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves 7. Observes and documents patient data, behavior and activity 8. Prepares clients for treatment or examination 9. Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines 10. Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed 11. Provides subprofessional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and/or developmentally disabled patients 12. Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher 13. Turns and re-positions bedridden clients, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

Valid driver's license from the state of Georgia or from the state in which candidate resides. One year of experience as a Forensic Services Technician or equivalent position OR two years experience in a Leadership Security position.
