The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Operations Analyst 3 at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital (please visithttp://www.wcgrh.org/ for more information about the hospital).
Performs data analysis and prepares presentations and/or publications of findings for the operation of a large or complex project, system, program, agency or function. Conducts organizational studies and evaluations, conducts work simplifications and measurement studies, and designs and administers surveys. Identifies barriers to quality services, compliance, or ineffective work processes, and creates plans, policies or regulations to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. May serve as team leader.
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
- Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
- Assists in the development of data quality tests to improve the accuracy of the survey data collected
- Collects and evaluates statistical data or reports to identify agency/program performance trends
- Conducts research, studies and analyses that frequently have statewide impact
- Defines data requirements and gathers and validates information, applying judgment and statistical tests
- May publish data, post pertinent data to web sites, or create related logs and records
- May serve as team leader for project teams and task forces involved in programmatic and operational research initiatives
- Organizes and tabulates data using a variety of techniques including database software spread sheets, statistical tables, charts and graphs
- Prepares models of problems for determination that relates constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives and their parameters
- Provides consultation and technical assistance on program issues

Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience
OR
One year of experience at the lower level or position equivalent (GSP011)
OR
Five years of related experience
|
Preference will be given to candidates, who in addition to meeting the above qualifications also meet the following: Bachelor's degree AND One year of related experience OR Five years of related experience.

This position is located in the Region 6 Office in Columbus, GA. Region 6 is comprised of the following counties: Carroll, Heard, Coweta, Troup, Meriweather, Fayette, Henry, Butts, Spalding, Pike, Lamar, Upson, Crawford, Peach, Houston, Taylor, Macon, Dooly, Crisp, Marion, Schley, Sumter, Webster, Harris, Talbot, Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Stewart, Quitman, Randolph and Clay. Columbus, Georgia is an authentic Rivertown. The gently rolling waters of the Chattahoochee have provided food, energy, employment, and recreation for the citizens of Columbus throughout the years. Today, the river is home to the 12-mile path known as the Chattahoochee Riverwalk. The Riverwalk provides an excellent facility to bike, in-line skate, jog, or just take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the scenery.
